Meeting the Needs of UK Schools  

Veracross introduced the ability to take local payments in the UK for school fees and incidentals, providing our schools with a seamless and efficient way to handle transactions. By integrating local payment options, we have empowered schools to manage their finances with ease, reducing the overall administrative burden. 

Enabling payments across the entire Veracross platform simplifies financial transactions by eliminating the need for multiple systems and manual processes, creating a unified and streamlined experience for schools. Not only does this enhance accuracy and transparency, but also provides real-time insights into financial data, helping schools make informed decisions. 

Additionally, Veracross has made strides in creating a more localised product for our UK schools. To offer a more personalised and localised experience, we adapted words and phrases to use local UK terminology and spelling to fit local preferences for staff, teachers, and families. This enhancement showcases the importance of localisation for better user experience and engagement. 

Enhanced Financial Management 

As we stay closely in tune with the political climate in the UK, Veracross has incorporated the addition of VAT (Value Added Tax) calculation and collection across all products where payments are taken, such as school fees, admission fees, extra-curricular activity fees, and more. To proactively anticipate potential tax requirements, we started development of these capabilities well before the UK election.  

While this is not a feature needed for US schools, we recognised the importance of VAT calculation and collection for the UK market early on. This important enhancement demonstrates Veracross’s foresight and our commitment to meeting localised needs. Moreover, this feature can benefit schools globally, as more than 170 countries, including Canada, Australia, and most of Europe, utilise VAT or GST (Goods and Services Tax). This showcases our dedication to supporting diverse financial requirements across different regions. 

Advanced Exam Management 

Part of our broader mission to support schools in managing all aspects of their operations efficiently, Veracross has recently made dramatic enhancements to our existing exam management functionality to provide a full-featured Exams Manager module. Designed to compete with or surpass any existing exams manager product in the UK market, Veracross Exams Manager was developed with continuous feedback from UK schools.  

Through Veracross Exams Manager, independent schools can streamline the process of scheduling, administering, and tracking exams with robust tools for managing exam logistics and student performance. We will continue to make iterative improvements based on real-world use cases and requirements via the market, as well as feedback from our schools. This ensures that our Exams Manager module consistently addresses the specific challenges faced by schools and reflects Veracross’s dedication to delivering high-quality, effective solutions across the globe.
