Our product roadmap is based on conversations with our schools to ensure we’re constantly improving the Veracross experience for schools worldwide.
Over the past few years, we’ve made several enhancements to our school management platform to even more effectively meet the needs of our global community. Our recent work with Canadian schools is just one example of our commitment to adapting and improving to meet the unique needs of each region. Here are a few changes we’ve made to support schools across Canada.
Provincial Reporting
Each province in Canada has its own requirements for gathering and reporting on essential educational data. For many schools, provincial reporting is a complex — and often manual — process that takes significant resources to complete on their own. Through our conversations with Canadian schools, we heard a clear need for a reliable data integration between a school’s student information system and the provincial government reporting database. Our goal was to not only meet this need but make it easy for schools to complete this vital requirement.
Through a partnership with Intellischool, we’ve solved the provincial reporting puzzle for Ontario-based schools. With Veracross as the primary record, Intellischool enables automated data transfers to Ontario’s provincial reporting services, OnSIS. Multiple schools have already conducted OnSIS reporting with Veracross, sharing that the process was much smoother and supportive than their previous manual efforts.

With the successful rollout of OnSIS reporting, Veracross is now working on adding similar reporting capabilities for schools in British Columbia and Alberta according to the respective data reporting standards of each province.
Seamless Payments
To better meet the need of Canadian schools and their communities, Veracross also recently introduced the ability to accept payments for tuition, fees, and incidentals in Canada. With the Veracross payment solution, VC Pay, schools in Canada can now accept payment across all school departments, for things like admission fees, fieldtrips, registration fees for extracurricular clubs and classes, and much more via credit card or pre-authorized debit.
With Veracross’s one-record, one-person database, payments are seamless across your entire campus for both school staff and families. Parents can create a saved wallet with their pre-authorized debit and credit card information and then use the same portal and login credentials they use to access their student’s school information to pay a tuition bill or fee — with everything all in one place.
Integrations with 200+ EdTech Partners
Through the Veracross Partner Network, we offer more than two hundred integrations with leading edtech companies, including prominent providers in Canada like Edsby and REACH.
Edsby is an award-winning social learning system for K-12 schools. Utilizing the Veracross API, schools using both Veracross and Edsby can bring rostering and scheduling information from Veracross into Edsby, simplifying the set-up of classes in Edsby.
REACH Student Life Management enables schools to prioritize safety and emergency preparedness throughout their residential community. Our two-way integration simplifies workflows for schools by syncing data for dorm enrollments and groups/athletic teams from Veracross into REACH, while attendance data from REACH syncs back into Veracross.
We believe that schools should have the freedom to choose the best technology solutions for their unique needs. Utilizing Veracross’s Open API, schools can integrate their software of choice with Veracross as their system of record.
Supporting Schools Around the World
With customers in 60+ countries worldwide, Veracross is committed to continuously improving our products and services to meet the needs of our global community. We take customer feedback seriously and build our product roadmaps to align with school-specific requests that can benefit the broader Veracross user base.
Recently, we unveiled improvements to our Exams Manager module that allow us to now offer a full-featured solution for schools around the world to manage their exam seasons. Also, based on feedback from our global schools, we are planning significant enhancements to our existing Substitute Management module to provide full substitute management within our single system. These enhancements were prioritized based on feedback from our global community. We are grateful for this collaboration and look forward to many more years of partnership with our schools.
